Pathways to College K-8 Charter School Library

Dear Parents,

Reading is one of the most important skills your child will learn in school.  Like all skills, improvement comes with practice, and your PTC School Library provides a wide variety of books for students to borrow for reading practice, accelerated reading quizzes, information and enjoyment.  Our students are encouraged to visit the school library weekly to select books.  Parents can help our students by reading to or with him/her and asking questions about the book they borrow.  We want our PTC students to read at least 20 minutes every night.

·         It is the sole responsibility for each student to handle their borrowed book with care, since they are for everyone to share.  Please keep books away from pets, food, liquids, and younger siblings.

·         Any damage needs to be reported to the library as soon as possible so that we can obtain a replacement to books. A book may be renewed (checked out again) if the student is not finish reading.  An overdue (late) book means a student cannot borrow another book (until the overdue book is renewed or returned).

·         If a book is lost, payment toward the replacement cost will be requested from the parents.

·         If your family plans to move from PTC, please return all books before checking your student out of PTC.

We hope our students will read and enjoy many books and grow in their reading skills while attending elementary and middle school at Pathways to College K-8 Charter.

READ, LEARN, ENJOY!

Queridos Padres,
