“ I believe that children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way”, is a quote that Rhonda Dennis believes in and strives to promote daily as an educator. Mrs. Dennis is convinced that her purpose in life is to educate children, and guide them in being intelligent, confident, and independent learners who take ownership of their education.
Mrs. Dennis, born and raised in Los Angeles, Ca, moved to the High Desert in 2004, after working in the public and private school system for over 11 years. Mrs. Dennis has been teaching for 17 years, in grades Pre-K thru 8th grade. Mrs. Dennis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, a Master’s Degree in Education, a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, and is a certified GATE Teacher.
In 2006, Mrs. Dennis began her career at Pathways to College as a 5th grade teacher. She taught 6th grade for several years, and then returned to 5th in the 2016-2017 school year. Currently, Mrs. Dennis is the very excited English Middle School Teacher, who is looking forward to providing a rigorous and challenging educational experience to all of her students, using the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) system.
“ I truly believe that “all” students can succeed. My job is to discover what they need, give them the tools to meet those needs, and guide them to the point of independent success. If I teach it, they will learn”.
