Welcome to 5th Grade

 

Welcome to our 5th Grade class! I am so excited to be a part of the Pathways to College family, and can't wait to see what this year has in store for us.

 

You may have seen me on campus last year working as an instructional aide in 3rd grade. Even though this is my first year as a teacher at Pathways, I am not new to teaching! My family and I moved to Hesperia from Virginia, where I previously taught for over eight years.

 

Education is very important to me. I earned my BA in Interdisciplinary Studies along with teaching certification from Christopher Newport University. In December of 2016 I completed my MA degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction. I don't believe education ends with a degree, as I am constantly seeking ways to improve my teaching practice.

 

My goal as a teacher is to serve as a facilitator in the classroom as I help guide my students through their own educational journeys. This year is going to be amazing! I am looking forward to exploring and learning together.
